The question board is useful too, though responses to general questions can take a day or two. Overall it's a calm, unhurried space and there's genuinely no selling involved.

Michael was approaching retirement age and had pension entitlements in two countries. He found the terminology in official documents confusing and wanted a general overview before approaching qualified advisers.

Two topic briefing sessions — one covering state pension system structures in general, another covering cross-border pension portability as a general concept. Both sessions produced written topic briefs.

Outcome

Michael felt equipped to ask better questions when he later met with a qualified financial adviser. He described the sessions as having given him a shared vocabulary for those conversations.
